Privacy Policy

Last updated August 2026. This policy covers lexra.org, the LEXRA community at community.lexra.org, and LEXRA events. It applies to website visitors, newsletter subscribers, event attendees and members.

1. Who we are

LEXRA, Inc. runs the global association for location-based entertainment XR. For anything in this policy, write to us through the contact page on this site.

2. What we collect and why

Website visitors. Standard server logs and analytics: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type. We use this to understand what people read and to keep the site running. Analytics data is aggregated; it does not identify you to us.

Free resources. When you unlock a download on our resources page, we store your email address, which resource you asked for, and the page you were on. We use this to give you the downloads, to add you to the LEXRA newsletter, and to tell you about LEXRA events, membership and partner programmes. You can unsubscribe from every email we send using the link in the email.

Contact form. When you write to us through the contact form, we store your name, email address and message, and we email them to the LEXRA team so we can reply.

Newsletter. When you subscribe, your email address is stored with our email provider. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any issue.

Events. When you register for a LEXRA event, we store your name, email address and company so we can run the event, send joining details and recordings, and follow up afterwards.

Membership and billing. Name, email, mailing address, phone number, company name, and membership activity such as logins, community posts and event RSVPs. Payment details are handled by our payment processors; we never see or store full card numbers.

3. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage for three things: to remember that you have unlocked the free resources so you are not asked twice, to keep you logged in to the community, and for analytics. You can clear or block cookies in your browser; if you do, you may need to enter your email again on the resources page or log in again.

4. Who we share data with

We share personal data only with the services that run LEXRA: Circle for the member community and subscription billing, Stripe for card payments, QuickBooks Online for invoicing, beehiiv for the newsletter, Make for moving form submissions between these systems, Kinsta for website hosting, and Google Analytics for website analytics. Each processes your data under its own privacy terms and only to provide its service to us. We do not sell personal data.

5. How long we keep it

Member data: for as long as you are a member, then as long as we need it to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Newsletter and resources data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Contact-form messages: until the conversation is closed and for a reasonable period afterwards.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict how we process it, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Write to us through the contact page and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical and physical safeguards. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
